This photo was taken with a dim light through a window from her back.
I was up on my way to the Cherry Temple, which is situated on a mountain top, and found this happy woman sitting alongside the path with a huge mushroom in her hands. She was with her teenage daughter looking for mushroom in the mountains and that day was apparently her lucky day. A satisfying smile showed through as she looked at the reward of her hard work.
I was on my way to the market and caught this pair of eyes.
I was at the weekend textile market in Thimphu. It was a sunny day and as I strolled around the market, not looking for any particular items to buy, I spotted this lady with her baby wrapping at her back. I quickly gained a position at the back of a textile counter and took this picture. In fact, this is one of my favourite photos from this trip to Bhutan.

Joy of friendship
I like this picture because of the lazing surrounding: the dogs, two playful nuns and the colorful backdrop. This is inside of a temple which was not part of the trip to Bhutan because it was still under construction. The visit was made to kill times, but turned out to be one of the bests in the trip.
Uncertain about the future?
