Alaska is well known for glaciers extending to the ocean. However, for these reasons, these glaciers are being eaten up by the salty sea water. Whenever you hear the thunder roars, a piece of the glacier iceberg is falling down to the ocean. Piece by piece, the glaciers are disappearing.

This seal used a piece of floating iceberg to sail along the current created by the falling glacier icebergs.
Spotting this small creature (it did look small from the 14th deck of a cruise ship) is just by luck – while other people on the ship were concentrating on the glaciers, I looked down and spotted something moving on the iceberg. I alerted people surrounding me and snapped this shot. The icebery has the shape of a whale.
